Overview

Manaslu Trek takes you through the remote and off-beat tracks of the Manaslu Region. Opened only in 1991 to foreign trekkers, this region still preserves its untouched and raw natural splendor. The Manaslu Trek 12 Days Itinerary is the perfect choice for trekking in the region. Within the time frame, you will get to the base of the 8th tallest mountain in the world- Mt. Manaslu. You will cross one of the most adventurous and challenging Passes of Nepal- the Larkya La Pass. This pass is also a vantage point to witness breathtaking views of snow-capped mountain peaks. Throughout the trek, you will get to enjoy views of the surrounding nature and diverse landscape. You can also savor the views of the green lush forest, diverse biodiversity, and glaciers. You also get a taste of the unique and traditional lifestyle and culture of the locals of the region.

Itinerary

  • Day 01: Kathmandu to Machha Khola drive (850 meters / 2,788 ft)
  • Day 02: Machha Khola to Jagat (2,095 m / 4,395 ft)
  • Day 03: Jagat to Deng (1,340 m / 4,396 ft)
  • Day 04: Trek to Namrung (2,660 m / 8,727 ft)
  • Day 05: Trek from Namrung to Lho (3,180 m / 10,433 ft)
  • Day 06: Lho to Samagaun (3,520 m / 11,549 ft)
  • Day 07: Acclimatization Day at Samagaon
  • Day 08: Samagaon to Samdo (3,875 m / 12,713 ft)
  • Day 09: Samdo to Dharamsala (4,450 m / 14,596 ft)
  • Day 10: Dharamsala to Bimthang (3,720 m / 12,201 ft)
  • Day 11: Bimthang to Dharapani (1,860 m / 6,102 ft)
  • Day 12: Dharapani to Kathmandu (1,440 m / 4,724 ft)

What is Included

  • Three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) during the trek including a cup of tea/coffee.
  • Fresh fruit every night after dinner.
  • Trekking lodge (Tea House) accommodations during the trek.
  • All necessary permits including ACAP, MCAP and restricted area entry permits.
  • Private Jeep to Machhakhola from Kathmandu and private Jeep back to Kathmandu from Dharapani.
  • English speaking guide with all his salary, food, drinks, accommodation, transport and insurance.
  • Medical supplies (first aid kit will be available).
  • Strong, helpful porters with proper equipment (1 porter = two people) with all his salary, food, drinks, accommodation and insurance.
  • Use of Sleeping bags, Down Jacket and Walking Poles (if you do not have your own, to be returned after you complete the trip). Using these 3 items you pay $10 USD each as maintenance and washing charge.
  • Government taxes and official expenses.
  • Nepal Eco Adventure branded t-shirt, cap and duffel bag.
  • Oxymeter to check your pulse and oxygen saturation and heart rate twice daily (Very useful to check Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS) symptoms) which will ensure your trek is in the safest hands possible for all levels of trekker.
  • Assistant guide for group size above 6+ persons.

What is Excluded

  • Meals and hotel whilst you are in Kathmandu.
  • Nepal entry visa fee $50 USD for 30 days visa on arrival.
  • International airfare.
  • Your personal expenses.
  • All the alcoholic and non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks.
  • Battery charging and hot shower during trek on the tea houses.
  • Tips for the guide, porter and driver (Tipping is expected).
