Mera Peak Climbing

Overview

Mera peak climbing is the tallest trekking peak in Nepal, standing at 6,476m. We will go through the Makalu Barun National Park and witness various kind of vegetation and exquisite animals and birds. We will also enjoy a beautiful view of the high hills and mountains like Lhotse, Choyu, Ama Dablam, Kanchenjunga and Makalu. We will pass through several settlements of the mountain people, enchanting forests and be part of the local culture and lifestyle. We will trek through the mystical Hinku which once again will offer us beautiful and splendid views on the mountains and hills. This climb is the most suitable for climbers who seek adventure and thrill. Sherpa Walk Adventure provides full board packages for enthusiasts adventurers. • Day 01: Fly to Lukla and trek to Paiya (2,730m)
• Day 02: Trek to Panguam (2,850m)
• Day 03: Trek to Nagindingma (2,650m)
• Day 04: Trek to Cholem Kharka (3,350m)
• Day 05: Trek to Khola Kharka (3,930m)
• Day 06: Trek to Kothe (4,180m)
• Day 07: Trek to Thaknak (4,350m)
• Day 08: Trek to Khare (5,045m)
• Day 09: Rest and acclimatization in Khare
• Day 10: Trek from Khare to High Camp (5,780m)
• Day 11: High Camp to summit (6,461m) and return to Khare
• Day 12: Trek from Khare to Kothe
• Day 13: Trek from Kothe to Chetarwa (3,580m)
• Day 14: Trek from Chetarwa to Lukla
• Day 15: Fly back to Kathmandu

What is Included

• Three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) with a cup of hot drink (tea/coffee).
• Fresh fruits every night after dinner.
• Trekking lodge (Tea House) accommodations during the trek.
• Makalu Barun National Park permit and peak permit.
• One night tent accommodation above Khare with hygienic meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) including tea/coffee and seasonal fruits.
• Camping tent and climbing rope provided.
• Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu flight including airport transfer (High season flights to and from Lukla are operated from Ramechhap airport, 4–5 hours east of Kathmandu).
• A highly experienced, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, English-speaking, well-trained, government-licensed trekking guide and climbing Sherpa, with all salary, food, drinks, accommodation, transport and insurance covered.
• Strong, helpful porters with proper equipment (1 porter = two people), including salary, food, drinks, accommodation and insurance.
• Comprehensive medical supplies (first aid kit available).
• Arrangement of emergency helicopter service (paid by your travel insurance company).
• Use of sleeping bag, down jacket and walking poles (if you don’t have your own; to be returned after trip). Maintenance and washing charge: $10 USD per item.
• Sherpa Walk Adventure T-shirt, cap and duffel bag.
• Oximeter to check pulse, oxygen saturation and heart rate twice daily (useful for monitoring Altitude Mountain Sickness symptoms).
• Assistant guide for groups above 6+ people.

What is Excluded

• Airport pickup and drop for international flight arrival and departure.
• Meals and accommodation in Kathmandu.
• Nepal entry visa fee ($50 USD for 30 days visa on arrival).
• Travel and medical insurance (recommended).
• International airfare.
• Personal expenses.
• Alcoholic and non-alcoholic hot and cold drinks during the trek (purchased along the way or in tea houses).
• Desserts and sweet items such as chocolate, cake, pie and pudding.
• Battery charging and hot showers at tea houses.
• Personal climbing equipment (can be hired for $150 USD per person).
• Tips for the guide, porter and driver (tipping is expected).
• Excess baggage charges for more than 15kg on Lukla flights.
